Trabzonspor enter their meeting with Freiburg on 5 November 2026 having scored five goals through Djú Franculino and Mohamed Salah in the first two matchdays of the 2026/27 UEFA Conference League league phase. Franculino scored three; Salah scored two and provided another two assists, according to UEFA records.

The Turkish side have won both matches and have six points. Freiburg have three, following a win and a defeat. The Matchday 3 fixture is scheduled for 18:45 Central European Time (CET), or 20:45 in Türkiye. All figures below are cut off at 29 October, before the fixture.

How the five goals and assists were split between the matches

On 15 October, Trabzonspor beat KuPS 4-2 away in Finland. Salah first assisted Paul Onuachu's third-minute opener, then scored in the 44th minute; Franculino struck in the 47th and at 90+1. Together the pair scored three of their side's four goals.

In the second round on 22 October, Trabzonspor defeated Hearts 2-0 at home. Salah converted a 32nd-minute penalty and set up Franculino to score in the 58th. The Egyptian therefore recorded one goal and one assist in each of the two fixtures.

What five of the team's six goals actually mean

Franculino and Salah scored five of Trabzonspor's six goals in this sample, or 83.3% of the total. The sixth came from Onuachu, assisted by Salah. Across the first two rounds, the club scored six and conceded two: both goals against came versus KuPS, while Hearts did not score.

Salah's two assists must not be added to the five goals as if they were two further team goals. They are contributions to goals already counted: one assist for Onuachu, the other for Franculino against Hearts. That makes seven individual goal or assist credits between the two players, but still only six Trabzonspor goals. UEFA lists three goals and no assists for Franculino, and two goals and two assists for Salah over the period.

How Freiburg arrive after defeat at Monaco

Freiburg opened with a 3-2 win against Jablonec on 15 October. Vincenzo Grifo and Maximilian Eggestein scored for the German team, who also benefited from an own goal. On 22 October, they lost 3-0 away to Monaco, with Paris Brunner, Lamine Camara and Ansu Fati scoring.

Those results leave Freiburg on three points, with three goals for and five against, a goal difference of minus two. The defeat in Monaco does not erase their opening win, but it does underline how different their first two outings were. After the loss, coach Julian Schuster pointed to a lack of energy, particularly in challenges, in comments reported by UEFA.

What the sample cannot predict about 5 November

The contrast holds only for the period examined: Trabzonspor won twice, while Freiburg won one and lost one. Their opponents, venues and circumstances were different. These goals are not enough to calculate a sound winning probability or to credit the Turkish team's entire attacking output exclusively to the two forwards.

The firmest evidence before the next game is the actual distribution of contributions: three goals from Franculino, two goals and two assists from Salah, including a shared contribution to the goal against Hearts. The fixture in Trabzon will provide new evidence, not a statistically guaranteed repeat of the opening rounds.
