Slavia Praha host Arsenal on 4 November 2026 at 21:00 Central European Time (CET) in matchday four of the 2026/27 Champions League league phase. After three matches, Arsenal have seven points and Slavia have one. The six-point gap comes from two wins and a draw for the English club, compared with two defeats and a draw for the Czech side.

Goal difference reinforces that contrast: Arsenal have scored six and conceded two, for +4; Slavia have scored four and conceded seven, for -3. That is a seven-goal gap in goal difference. All figures refer exclusively to the opening three Champions League matchdays, based on UEFA results checked on 25 October 2026.

Which results account for the six-point gap?

The table lists the six games used in the calculation. Scores are shown from the named club's perspective, whether it played at home or away.

ClubDateOpponent (venue)Club's score
Slavia Praha10/09/2026Lens (home)2-3
Slavia Praha13/10/2026Sabah (away)0-2

Arsenal09/09/2026Napoli (away)1-0
Arsenal13/10/2026Lille (home)3-0
Arsenal21/10/2026Bayern München (away)2-2

Arsenal won 1-0 away to Napoli and 3-0 at home to Lille before drawing 2-2 at Bayern München. Slavia lost 3-2 at home to Lens and 2-0 away to Sabah before drawing 2-2 away to Fenerbahçe. Under the 2026/27 regulations, a win earns three points and a draw one. Domestic-league results are excluded from this comparison.

The two matchday-three draws tell different stories

On 20 October, Slavia earned their first point after falling 2-0 behind early against Fenerbahçe. Lukáš Provod pulled a goal back and Pavel Kačor equalised in the 90th minute. The comeback prevented a third defeat, but it did not erase the negative three-goal difference carried over from the first two fixtures.

One day later, Arsenal drew 2-2 with Bayern München. Eberechi Eze put the visitors ahead, Alphonso Davies and Harry Kane turned the score in Bayern's favour, and Declan Rice equalised in the 82nd minute. That point kept Arsenal unbeaten across this three-match sample after two opening wins. Reports by Anadolu Agency and Sky Sports provide context for both draws, but the overall difference between the campaigns cannot be attributed to either game alone.

What could matchday four change?

If Slavia win on 4 November, they will rise to four points while Arsenal remain on seven, reducing the gap to three. A draw would leave Slavia on two and Arsenal on eight, maintaining the six-point separation. An Arsenal victory would produce totals of one and ten, extending the gap to nine. These are conditional calculations, not match predictions.

The league phase features 36 clubs playing eight matches each. At its conclusion, the top eight advance directly to the round of 16, positions nine to 24 enter the knockout phase play-offs, and the remaining teams are eliminated. Goal difference is the first tiebreaker for clubs level on points at the end of the league phase, under Article 18 of the regulations. The current points and goal differences therefore describe an early-season gap; they do not settle final qualification or establish an automatic favourite for this fixture.

Scope: men's 2026/27 Champions League, matchdays one to three, checked on 25 October 2026. The 4 November match is not included in these totals.
