Serge Gnabry reached 100 Bundesliga goals on 25 October 2026 as Bayern Munich beat Freiburg 3-1 on matchday seven of the 2026/27 season. The total breaks down into 79 goals for Bayern, 11 for Werder Bremen and 10 for Hoffenheim, across 267 German top-flight appearances. It is a career total in the competition, not a single-season tally or a figure exclusive to his Bayern years.
How the 100 goals are split across three clubs
The Bundesliga's figures for the milestone on 25 October allow goals, appearances and each club's share to be compared. The 218 Bayern appearances represent the previous German Football Association (DFB) record updated to include the Freiburg fixture.
| Club | Bundesliga period | Appearances | Goals | Share of 100 goals |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Werder Bremen | 2016/17 | 27 | 11 | 11% |
| Hoffenheim | 2017/18 | 22 | 10 | 10% |
| Bayern Munich | 2018/19 to 25 October 2026 | 218 | 79 | 79% |
| Total | Through 25 October 2026 | 267 | 100 | 100% |
Bayern account for almost four-fifths of Gnabry's Bundesliga goals. Before making his league debut for the Munich club, he had already scored 21 times across his Werder and Hoffenheim spells.
Why the appearance totals also add up to 267
In Gnabry's profile checked on 26 October, the DFB Data Center still listed 17 October 2026 as his latest Bundesliga appearance for Bayern, with 217 league games and 78 goals for the club. His goal on 25 October added one match and one goal, producing 218 Bayern appearances and 79 goals. The same profile lists 27 appearances and 11 goals for Werder, plus 22 appearances and 10 goals for Hoffenheim.
Both totals can therefore be checked: 27 + 22 + 218 = 267 appearances and 11 + 10 + 79 = 100 goals. The gap between the earlier DFB snapshot and the Bundesliga report reflects their different cut-off dates, not different competitions.
What the goals-per-appearance figures reveal
Dividing goals by appearances gives Gnabry approximately 0.41 goals per game for Werder, 0.45 for Hoffenheim and 0.36 for Bayern. Across all 267 appearances, the figure is approximately 0.37 goals per game. Hoffenheim have the highest ratio of the three, but also the smallest sample, at just 22 matches.
These calculations use appearances rather than minutes played. They are not per-90-minute rates and do not, on their own, establish which spell featured the best performance: substitute appearances, playing time and on-field roles may affect the comparison.
The goal that brought Gnabry to 100
On 25 October, Gnabry converted a pass from Nathaniel Brown to score Bayern's second goal against Freiburg in the 42nd minute, according to the Bundesliga match report. Bayern won 3-1. It was his 79th Bundesliga goal for Bayern and his 100th across all three clubs in the competition.
The statistic is limited to the Bundesliga: it excludes the German Cup, European club competitions, other club tournaments and Germany internationals. The figures are correct through the end of Freiburg versus Bayern on 25 October 2026 and may increase in later fixtures.
