Four matches in French men’s professional football have had their date or kick-off time changed between 24 and 26 October 2026. In official notices, the LFP rescheduled PSG vs Lyon and Toulouse vs Troyes, both from Ligue 1 matchday eight, as well as Montpellier vs Red Star, from Ligue 2 matchday ten. Saint-Étienne vs Nantes, also in Ligue 2 matchday ten, remains on Saturday but kicks off 45 minutes later.
The league published the decisions between 20 and 23 October. All times in this report are local to Paris and reflect the schedule stated in the notices consulted up to 23 October 2026.
Which matches changed? Original and revised times
The comparison keeps each match’s division and round explicit, avoiding confusion between Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 fixtures.

What the authorities said about the changes
For Toulouse vs Troyes, Montpellier vs Red Star and Saint-Étienne vs Nantes, the LFP cited requests from the prefectures of Haute-Garonne, Hérault and Loire, respectively, with the agreement of the listed broadcasters. Those three notices do not provide a detailed individual explanation of the reason behind each request.
PSG vs Lyon has an explicit legal distinction in the LFP notice: the Paris police prefecture prohibited the match from taking place on Sunday 25 October at 20:45. The league moved it to Monday in agreement with Ligue 1+. Le Monde linked the ban to social protests and policing demands in Paris; that explanation must not automatically be extended to the other three fixtures.
Why France’s clock change matters
In the early hours of Sunday 25 October 2026, France switches from summer time to winter time: at 03:00 the clocks go back to 02:00, according to the French public administration. Paris therefore uses UTC+2 on Saturday 24 October and UTC+1 on Sunday 25 and Monday 26 October. Converting kick-off times for another country without accounting for the switch can produce incorrect differences.
That is why Toulouse vs Troyes retains a local kick-off time of 17:15, yet the elapsed time between its original Saturday start and revised Sunday start would be 25 hours, not 24. Saint-Étienne vs Nantes moves by only 45 minutes. On Monday, PSG vs Lyon starts at 20:30 and Montpellier vs Red Star at 20:45, just 15 minutes apart.
Broadcast listings and the status of the schedule
For the broadcasts announced in France, the LFP names Ligue 1+ for PSG vs Lyon and Toulouse vs Troyes, and beIN SPORTS 1 for Montpellier vs Red Star and Saint-Étienne vs Nantes. This does not establish availability, access terms or listings in other countries. The table reflects the position as of 23 October and remains subject to subsequent official changes.
