Morocco's FUS Rabat and Cameroon's Lekié Football Filles begin their first CAF Women's Champions League final-tournament campaigns against each other on Sunday, 1 November 2026, at 14:00 Cairo time, in Ismailia, Egypt. Both qualified unbeaten, but their scoring totals differed: FUS scored 14 goals and Lekié eight, each across three matches.

The six-goal gap is not, by itself, a measure of which side is more likely to win. FUS played in the North African UNAF qualifying tournament in Tunis; Lekié won the Central African UNIFFAC tournament in Yaoundé. Their opponents and competitive settings differed.

The six results behind the 14 and eight goals

This comparison includes only each club's three matches in its 2026 regional qualifying tournament, as recorded by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Domestic leagues, national cups and the continental final tournament are excluded.

Club and zoneDate (2026)OpponentResult
FUS Rabat (UNAF)1 SepCF Akbou (Algeria)4-0
FUS Rabat (UNAF)4 SepASF Sousse (Tunisia)7-0

Lekié FF (UNIFFAC)1 SepAC Colombe (Congo)7-0
Lekié FF (UNIFFAC)4 SepFootball Academy Msichana (DR Congo)0-0

FUS's tally was 4 + 7 + 3 = 14 goals, from wins over CF Akbou, ASF Sousse and FC Masar. Lekié's was 1 + 7 + 0 = eight goals, from a draw against 15 de Agosto, a win over AC Colombe and a draw with Football Academy Msichana. Both clubs conceded one goal across their three matches.

What changes when the goals are broken down

FUS finished the UNAF qualifiers with three wins, nine points, 14 goals scored, one conceded and a goal difference of plus 13. Lekié ended the UNIFFAC tournament with one win, two draws, five points, eight goals scored, one conceded and a goal difference of plus seven. Neither side lost in its qualifying competition.

FUS's 7-0 victory over ASF Sousse accounted for half of its goals. For Lekié, the 7-0 win over AC Colombe represented seven of its eight goals, or 87.5%. This concentration is one reason why total goals alone do not establish a consistent attacking level. Three matches per team against different regional opponents also cannot reliably rank the strength of the two qualifying zones.

Why Lekié's opening 1-1 draw requires a note

There is a discrepancy in the published records: the French-language CAF qualifying roundup lists 1-0 for Lekié against 15 de Agosto, while the English-language version lists 1-1. The draw is also recorded by the Congolese federation FECOFA and local outlet L'Actu Sport. CAF separately says Lekié advanced with one win and two draws for five points. Taken together, this evidence supports the 1-1 score used here.

Two debutants in a group with Masar and Sundowns

Both FUS Rabat and Lekié FF are making their first appearance in the CAF Women's Champions League final tournament in 2026. Lekié's achievement is also a first for Cameroon: CAF says no club from the country had previously reached this stage. Its qualification came shortly after it won the Cameroon Cup.

The clubs are in Group A alongside Egypt's FC Masar and South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns. CAF scheduled their opener for 1 November at 14:00 Cairo time, with the tournament held at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia. On 4 November, Lekié face Sundowns and FUS meet Masar again; both conclude the group stage on 7 November. The top two in the group progress to the semi-finals on 11 November.

Scope and cut-off: regional qualifying results from August and September 2026 and final-tournament fixtures checked on 30 October 2026, before the opening game. These figures are not a prediction, a team selection or statistics from the final tournament.
